From Mike Brain
Hi Everyone following on from the recent news about the Grant we have some more good news:
The club has acquired a ‘new’ Club Boat to add to our fleet. Jamie McQue is giving up sailing because of back problems and has generously donated his SOLO to the club.
Whilst not new the Boat, Solo 2744 ‘O Solo Mio’, is all plastic, in reasonably good order and ready to sail – but will need some slight attention to the rig and trolley over the winter, so yet another task to be added to the Work Party list.
This will hopefully complete our fleet as we will now have boats of differing types and over the next 12 months their use will be monitored and if deemed appropriate changes to the composition of the fleet can be made.
The fleet of Club Boats now comprises 6 boats with something for everyone.
If you have not sailed a Solo before have a go after the start of sailing, in March.
Your chance to join the ranks of the intelligent & discerning sailors!
1 Laser (with full & 4.7 rig)
1 Solo
1 Topper
2 Pico’s (with provision for single sails and a Jib if required)
1 (old) Wayfarer
Does it have a drinks cabinet?
