From Rob Sears
Hi all, I expect most of you know that I have swapped a passion for travelling around on top of the water for one which involves travelling around under the water. Over the last few years I have found myself doing less and less sailing and eventually took the decision to sell my boat early this year. I can look back on my time at Colemere with much fondness. I joined the club in the summer of 2006 with an Enterprise dinghy hoping to sail with the kids. Sadly that did not work out and I was soon converted to Solo sailing and I raced both my Solos at the club and on the Midlands circuit. I served on the committee for more years than I care to remember, firstly as Vice Captain, then Captain and finally I was let loose as Commodore. I can honestly say that it was the easiest committee to work with; everybody pulled their weight. Everyone at the club has always been so friendly and that has been the hardest part of my decision to call it a day. However, the time has now come to hang up my sailing boots and so I would like to say a big farewell to everyone and thanks for all the good times over the last 10 years. I will be doing my last duty on Sunday so I hope to see as many of you there as possible to say farewell in person, but if you are not going to be there, then its farewell from me.

Sad to see expert sailor Rob go , but on a happier note: we have had at least six new members/families join us this year, with four of these in the past couple of weeks. Welcome to all our new members!
