A pursuit race is not like our normal handicap races in that the classes of boats start at different times related to their Portsmouth Yardstick. We have organised a number of these throughout the season and the first one was on Easter Sunday. The wind was quite brisk and it looked as though it could be quite exiting sailing.
There were only 2 classes of boats represented in the race (Solo and Laser Radial) the Solos started first and the Laser Radials 1 minute after. The positions the boats are in after 1 hour is their finishing position. (hope that makes sense ?)
Richard Mansfield wasn’t able to sail so he took some video of the race.
