Rigging Party and First Day of Sailing

From Ian Ramage (Vice Commodore)

We had a great day at the Rigging Party, so ably organised and run by Steve and Sharon Locke. Many thanks again to them for all their hard work. Nearly everybody won a raffle prize too, and the money raised will go to help fund the various social events we have planned for this coming year.

It was good to see sailing boats out on the water again, and the sun out, especially after the very wet and wild winter we have all suffered. Pity the wind was not what it could have been but nine boats in the first race, and lots of members in the club house, made the day very enjoyable.  It was especially good to see so many families there, and we hope to see more of you as the year goes by.

Ian Ramage,  Vice Commodore

Just a note about the second race. A select few of us joined in the 2nd race and had a very pleasant sail. – Paul
